Jingle Juice Christmas Punch

Jingle Juice comes in many forms. This cranberry-and-sparkling-rosé version is a pale pink, fizzy batch punch served over ice in individual rocks glasses. Vodka and orange liqueur round out the cranberry base, while lemon-lime soda adds sweetness and bubbles.

Mix the base ahead and keep it cold, then add the sparkling rosé and soda just before serving. Three fresh cranberries and an upright rosemary sprig finish each glass.

Ingredients for Jingle Juice Christmas Punch

  • 3 cups cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 standard 750-mL bottle sparkling rosé, chilled (about 3 1/4 cups)
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled, plus up to 1/2 cup more if needed
  • Ice, for the glasses
  • 3 fresh cranberries per glass, plus a small handful for the pitcher if desired
  • 1 small fresh rosemary sprig per glass

Cranberry juice cocktail gives the punch a lighter pink color and a sweeter base than unsweetened cranberry juice. Sweetness and color will vary by brand. For a less sweet punch, choose a drier sparkling rosé and use a little less soda.

How to Make Jingle Juice Christmas Punch

  1. Chill the ingredients: Refrigerate the cranberry juice cocktail, vodka, and orange liqueur until cold, about 1 hour. Chill the sparkling rosé and soda separately, keeping them sealed until serving. If everything is already cold, you can mix the punch right away.
  2. Mix the base: Combine the cranberry juice cocktail, vodka, and orange liqueur in a large pitcher or punch bowl with room for roughly 10 to 11 cups of punch. Stir, then taste the cold base so you can judge how much soda to add. If making it ahead, cover and refrigerate.
  3. Add the bubbles: Just before serving, slowly pour in the sparkling rosé and 2 cups of lemon-lime soda. Stir gently once or twice. Taste and add up to 1/2 cup more soda if the punch is too tart or strong. Pouring and stirring gently limits foaming and helps preserve the fizz.
  4. Serve over ice: Fill short rocks glasses with ice and pour in the punch. Float 3 cranberries on each drink and add a small upright rosemary sprig. Keep ice out of the pitcher so it does not melt and dilute the batch.

Make Ahead and Keep the Fizz

The cranberry juice, vodka, and orange liqueur base can be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Add the sparkling rosé and soda only when you are ready to serve; the finished punch gradually loses carbonation.

Alcohol-Free Adaptation

Omit the vodka and orange liqueur and use nonalcoholic sparkling wine with cranberry juice cocktail and soda. Adjust the juice and soda to taste: without the spirits, the flavor and sweetness will be different. Serve with the same ice, cranberry, and rosemary garnish.

How to Store Leftover Punch

Refrigerate leftovers promptly. They can still be served cold, but the punch will be less fizzy. Freezing the finished punch will not preserve its carbonation or original texture.
